WEEK 3
MONDAY NIGHT MERCHANTS
H&G escaped Monday night with both available wins for the second straight week. At this point, doing things the easy way may simply be against team policy.
MARGIN OVER MEDIAN
0.765
H&G'S MARGIN OVER THE WEEK 3 MEDIAN.
H&G SCORE
WEEK 3 MEDIAN
129.155
129.92

Run First, Options Later entered the final stretch of Week 3 with its season once again hanging somewhere between a good week and complete disaster. By the time the dust settled, HamletwithGadget had beaten Olave Garden 129.92 to 128.39, cleared the league median of 129.155, and walked away with another 2-0 week. The margins were ridiculous. H&G won the actual matchup by 1.53 points and beat the median by just 0.765. A single reception, short run, or scoring adjustment in the wrong direction could have turned two wins into zero. Instead, H&G is back to 3-3. And for the second consecutive week, it took Monday night to get there.
KITTLE DID THE HEAVY LIFTING
George Kittle was the engine of the comeback, delivering 24.20 points from the tight end position. James Cook added 21.15, while Christian Watson gave H&G another 20.10, creating just enough high-end production to offset a lineup that was hardly dominant from top to bottom. Kyler Murray finished with only 12.67. Dontayvion Wicks managed 4.70. J.K. Dobbins contributed 6.30. Even the Superflex spot produced only 11.50 from Malik Willis. This wasn't one of those weeks where every starter caught fire and the matchup was over by Sunday afternoon. H&G had holes. Several of them. The difference was that its best players did just enough to drag the rest of the lineup across the finish line.
THE CRUEL SIDE OF THE MEDIAN
Olave Garden learned exactly how unforgiving the House of Sickos format can be. Their 128.39 would have been good enough to beat multiple teams in the league. It wasn't good enough to beat H&G. And it wasn't good enough to beat the median. So while H&G walked away with two standings wins, Olave Garden walked away with none. The scoring difference between those two outcomes was 1.53 points. That's the median format doing exactly what it was designed to do: eliminating the comfort of saying, “Well, at least I scored well.” Almost does not count.
BACK FROM THE DEAD
After three weeks, H&G sits at 3-3, exactly .500. The record itself isn't remarkable. The path there absolutely is. For two consecutive weeks, H&G has dragged its entire fantasy fate into Monday night and somehow emerged with both standings points. Maybe eventually they'll try winning comfortably. For now, apparently the House of Sickos gets another weekly episode of Monday Night Merchants.
